The immobilizer theft deterrent systems available in vehicles appearing on this listing have been approved by IBC as having met or exceeded the criteria outlined in the “Standard for Automobile Theft Deterrent Equipment and Systems: Electronic Immobilization CAN/ULC-S338-98” – a national standard recognised by the Standards Council of Canada. In applying for IBC recognition of theft deterrent systems, vehicle manufacturers certify that the systems available in their Canadian marketed products:

• Meet the performance requirements of the Canadian Theft Deterrent Standard.
• Have undergone extensive laboratory testing.
• Are included as standard equipment in the models listed.
• Are available in the entire model year’s production of the models listed.
• Not applicable to vehicles intended to be sold as fleet vehicles.
